February 2016 Pet of the Month: Abby

Abby

Abby is our 4 1/2 year old Yorkshire terrier. She loves to dress up and has lots of clothes. Even though she’s dressed in pink in the picture, her best color is lime green! Her favorite things are snacks, belly rubs, ear scratches & giving kisses. She’s such a sweetheart & loved going to obedience class. (She was absolutely perfect on leash!) She loved the one on one time with me instead of sharing me with her fur sisters and brothers. She’s happiest when she’s sitting in her Daddy’s lap getting belly rubs & ear scratches.

January 2016 Pet of the Month: Fletcher

Fletcher

“Fletcher T. Long Tail Handsome Cat is a 4-year-old, green-eyed rescue from Pets & People in Yukon.  He has made his home with Fred Lewis in Oklahoma City since they adopted each other last May.  Fletcher has more toys than most toddlers have.  He sometimes plays so hard with his Turbo Scratcher (ball in a ring) that he turns it upside down and has to persuade “dear ol’ Dad” to upright it again so the frenzy can continue.  He is a champion at playing String, but also enjoys a good round of Hide and Sleep as well as some “lap time” most every evening.  Fletcher has an “air” of royalty and once in awhile needs to be reminded that he is not the King of the Castle, he’s just the Prince.  And, oh yes, Fletcher is also the bestest cat in the world!”

December 2015 Pet of the Month: Cali

CaliCali is a 4 year old Malshi (Maltese-shitzu mix). She loves getting dressed up in style to go to her favorite hang out, Max & Elsies Pet Resort. Cali enjoys playing keep away with her stuffed lamb chop and cuddling. Her cat like tendencies make it possible for Cali to walk on her back legs and curl around her humans neck to sleep. She has a sweet disposition and a long tongue to lick a smile on everyone’s face.

November 2015 Pet of the Month: Binx

Binx

Binx was adopted approximately 2 years ago after I lost my 14 yr old tortie Bailey to intestinal cancer. Binx is the most well behaved and gentle male cat I have ever been around. He’s definitely a lover, not a fighter giving kisses and never tries to hurt anyone. When we introduced him to our newly adopted Siamese kitten, Bleu, he took to her within about 30 min. He began bathing her and he followed her around the house. The two of them have been nearly inseparable since. They love to snuggle in one cat bed even though we have several.

Binx has been having some difficulty with his teeth and his left eye for almost one year and after no answers or suggestions  from our “feline specialist”, I brought him to Pet Medical Center. He saw Dr Harmon who immediately suspected Bartonella. Since Binx was a rescue and I adopted him at 6 months old I didn’t have his full history (did he have fleas?). I didn’t want to believe it could be Bartonella since he had been suffering so long and I had taken him in countless times to our previous vet. However…Dr Harmon was 100% correct and she is our hero! Binx has now has dental surgery and is being treated with antibiotics. His fur is looking beautiful, his eye is no longer draining, & he is feeling great. His sweet disposition is even sweeter now.

He is quite the show-off. He loves to play fetch! Furry toy mice are his favorite toys to retrieve. He also likes to sit on our patio when we are outside but he doesn’t really stray far. He loves to be around people and his new “sister” Bleu. His full name is Thackery Binx from a Halloween Favorite Hocus Pocus.

Jorrvi is a curious, fun loving, hyper dog and he has truly been a blessing to our family.

September 2015 Pet of the Month: Abby

AbbyAbigail Kolache (sweet buns) was purchased at the Czech Festival in Yukon, OK. She’s called Abby for short and sometimes just “B”. She has always had such a sweet disposition: loves to cuddle or at least be touching you. Fetch was her game of choice in her youth and she could even catch a frisbee, but at the age of 13 her favorite pastime is to sleep. She will not sit or lay on a cold hard surface-there must be a rug under her. To walk on wet grass is absolutely out of the question. I guess you could say she’s somewhat of a princess. In my opinion, she is the perfect fur companion and I can’t imagine our life without her.  Thank you Pet Medical Center for loving her like she’s your own and getting her through all her issues. You’re the best!

June 2015 Pet of the Month: Grimm

Grimm

Grimm is a fun-loving, playful 4 year old Malamute cross. Some of his favorite things are squeaky toys, taxidermy and catching snow balls in his mouth. He really dislikes seafood and cows. Grimm loves other animals and had 2 goat friends that he shared his backyard with for awhile, Primrose and Dumba. Although Grimm is a 100lb ball of energy the goats ruled the roost.

May 2015 Pet of the Month: Gibson

Gibson

“I knew it was just about time that Mr. Gibson Reeser would make into the top, dog of the month “club”!

He is always in his big brother’s shadow, never getting his face on instagram unless he is accompanied by Chase.

Gibson Reeser, age 3 began his life in Antlers, Oklahoma as the only pup in the litter.  Our family feels that this has made him the way he is, spoiled, always begging for attention and dancing on his back paws until you stop to tell him just how darn cute he is…or maybe he got that from his brother as well.

He happily lives at home with his mom and dad and can’t wait until his big sisters come home for visits on the weekends and when Chase, his puppy brother, picks him up from his home away from home, Pawparazzi Doggie Day Care.

We love PMC and all of the wonderful ladies who care for us there and the kind men as well.”

Sincerely,

Gibson Reeser

April 2015 Pet of the Month: Lacey

LaceyLacy is a 2 yr old Pitbull/Boxer mix. Lacey loves balls and her owner and really dislikes high maintenance dogs and palm trees. Lacy’s story began when she was found on the streets of Las Vegas, mal-nutritioned and clearly from an abusive home. It was obvious she had recently had a litter of puppies but they were no where to be found. Lacy was taken to a kill shelter, where she was found by her forever family 1 week before she was scheduled for euthanasia. She clearly knows where her place is now, right on that comfortable chair.

January 2015 Pet of the Month: Chloe

Chloe

My husband and I got Chloe on our 1 year anniversary, and she is 10 months old now. I had a Yorkie for 17 years when I was growing up, and we picked Chloe out from the same breeder that I got my childhood dog from. She is the sweetest little puppy and loves to cuddle and be close to us. She loves to play fetch with her toys and steal our socks when we’re not looking. She gets very excited when we ask her if she wants to go outside, and her favorite thing to do is run all over the backyard and look for crunchy leaves. One of the funniest things she does is play with a piece of her food when she’s in a very playful mood. She’ll use her paw to scoop a piece out of her bowl, grab it with her mouth, swing her head to toss it across the floor, and then run and pounce on it. I think this entertains her more than her toys! She is the perfect balance between super playful and super sweet and snuggly!
